Categories "Tourist" vs "Runner"
Registrants can choose to run either in the "Tourist" or "Runner" Category, depending on their estimated time.
"Tourist" Category StarT
We encourage runners aiming to finish under 4:00 to choose another category.
This category is intended for participants who expect to finish in over 4:30.
You will receive an official time, but you will not be ranked.
Your result will not count towards performance indexes (ITRA, UTMB or Betrail).
- Age: 18 and over
- Early start (around 5:00 a.m.)
- More generous time limits
- At the start, you can choose your climb via Niouc or St-Antoine
"Runner" category Start
- Age: 18 and over
- This category is intended for participants aiming to finish in under 4:30.
- Participants in this category:
- May have their result considered for performance indexes (ITRA, UTMB or Betrail)
- Start later (around 11:00 a.m.)
- Must comply with stricter cut-off times
- Climb exclusively via Niouc
Cut-off Times
During the race, participants must comply with the following cut-off times, failing which they shall be declared out of the race (cf. Art. 47 Disqualification or withdrawal) :
- Chandolin: [10:40:59] for the “Tourist” category, [14:10:59] for the “Runner” category;
- Tignousa: [12:00:59] for the “Tourist” category, [14:40:59] for the “Runner” category;
- Hotel Weisshorn: [13:30:59] for the “Tourist” category, [15:20:59] for the “Runner” category.
The Organizer reserves the right to modify the above-mentioned cut-off times.
The final arrival time at Zinal for the “Tourist” and “Runner” categories is set at [17:30:59]. After this time, participants who have not yet finished shall be declared out of the race (cf. Art. 47 Out of the race or withdrawal).
