General Terms and Conditions for Journalist Accreditations - Sierre-Zinal Race

1. Purpose and Scope

1.1 These General Terms and Conditions (hereinafter “GTC") govern the accreditation of Media Representatives (hereinafter individually “Media Representative”, collectively “Media Representatives”) who wish to report on the Sierre-Zinal Mountain Race (hereinafter “Race”) organised by the Sierre-Zinal Association (hereinafter “ Organiser").

1.2 Accreditation grants access to restricted areas of the Race and authorises media coverage of the event within the framework of these GTC. Depending on the individual agreements made between the Organiser and the Media Representative, the accreditation may allow the Media Representative to cover the following events of the Race:

• Friday lunch, to which the athletes invited to the Race will be expected to be present.
• Friday evening press conference, usually held in Sierre.
• Race finish in Zinal on Race day, in the reserved media area.

2. Accreditation Process

2.1 Please submit your accreditation application using the official form available on the Race website (https://www.sierre-zinal.com/fr/accreditations-presse-363.html). Please also provide the required professional credentials (e.g. press card, examples of publications).

2.2 The Organiser reserves the right to grant or refuse any accreditation application from Media Representatives at its discretion.

3. Rights and Obligations of Media Representatives

3.1 Accredited journalists are permitted to cover the event, take photographs and report on the event for editorial purposes only.

3.2 Accredited Media Representatives are prohibited from licensing, selling, or supplying any photos or videos taken during the Race on their website or any other medium, unless separately agreed in writing in advance with the Organiser.

3.3 Media Representatives shall confine themselves to the areas specified by the Organiser and abide by the instructions of Race officials.

3.4 Any use of Race images must comply with the participants' image rights, which are held exclusively by the Organiser in accordance with the Race regulations. Any publication must include a courtesy note indicating that the image rights belong to the Organiser.

4. Image rights

4.1 The image rights of all participants and the Race itself are the exclusive property of the Organiser. Accredited parties shall not use images of participants for purposes other than editorial unless separately agreed in writing in advance with the Organiser.

4.2 Media Representatives are aware that the use of participants' images without permission may result in legal action.

5. Liability

5.1 It is the responsibility of Media Representatives to ensure the safety of their own equipment while covering the Race.

5.2 The Organiser cannot accept liability for any loss, theft or damage to Media Representatives' equipment.

6. Sanctions

6.1 In the event of a breach of these GTC, the Organiser reserves the right to suspend, revoke or terminate the accreditation of the offending journalist immediately and to take appropriate legal action.

7. Data protection

7.1 By submitting the accreditation form, Media Representatives agree that their personal data may be collected, transmitted and processed by the Organiser for the purposes of organising the Race.

7.2 The data collected will be used solely for the management of accreditations and communications relating to the event. The data will not be transferred to unauthorised third parties.

8. Applicable Law and Juridiction

8.1 These GTC are subject to Swiss law.

8.2 Any dispute relating to the interpretation or execution of these TC shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Sierre, Valais (Switzerland).

9.1 The Organiser reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated to accredited Media Representatives by email or via the Race website.
